MNSHS holds students acquaintance party

By Rannah Bernadette Pancho

MNSHS celebrated its General Acquaintance Party last July 2, 2010 at the mini-quadrangle.The highlight of the said event was the acceptance and welcoming of the freshmen as Mingscians for SY 2010-2011.

Pancho in her article said “Last July 2, 2010 was indeed a remarkable and memorable day to dredge up. The MNSHS family welcomed the freshmen. Students had their short introduction of their section through a short and quick jingle. The students had their various presentations.

The fourth year did an act of friendship while the other levels presented either a song or a dance. It was worth-remembering because the freshmen actively participated in  the event. They mostly shared with us a dance while others did some additional acts to perk up the senses of the audience.”

Present during the celebration were the principal Mrs. Eutiquia S. Alday, the faculty members, the SSG officers and student body of MNSHS.The principal in her speech emphasized the importance of acquaintance and stressed out that it is not just about meeting new faces of the campus but to go beyond into learning the kind of culture we have in this learning institution.

Different talents of every section were showcased during the party. “Acquaintance parties are truly wonderful and worth-remembering for all of us. To some, acquaintance parties are just for fun but for others are just memorable and worth-keeping. Don’t count every hour in a day, but make every hour in a day count,” said Pancho.
